North Carolina Snow!

It actually snowed! I was watching the weather Sunday night, and they said that there might be snow on Tuesday. They are pretty hesitant to predict snow around here, because it usually finds a way to evade us. On Monday they were a little more sure about it though. Even at midnight the local meteorologist wasn't sure that it was gonna amount to much.

I was really surprised when I woke up to a snow covered yard. The girls were thrilled. They have never seen snow that actually covered the ground. After the snow finally quit falling, much later than predicted, we had a total of 7 inches! It was so much that there is still some on the ground today.

We all had a lot of fun playing in it together. Unfortunately it wasn't too great for making snow men though. We managed to get a passable one made, but nothing like we had hoped for. Becca-Lynn was a little disappointed, but we still had fun.

Of course I had to call all my family. This is typical behavior for native North Carolinians when it snows. You have to ask if they got snow (duh, of course they did) and how much snow they got, and discuss the weather reports, and the traffic accidents. It's just one of those things. My Granny also told me that you're not supposed to make snow cream with the first snow. Her mom was very superstitious, so Granny always tells us things that her mom would tell her. Granny doesn't actually believe all of it, but I think it's fun for to pass along the info.

Anyway, enough of my ramblings, here's some pics! I'm posting pics of the girls this time, only because they are so bundled up they are pretty much
