Wish Wednesday

Hey y'all!  It's Wednesday and I have some more Wish reviews!

In all honestly, I didn't buy either of these from the Wish app itself.  There are several shopping apps associated with Wish that carry items in more specific categories.  For example, the first item I'm reviewing today is from the Mama shopping app.  That app is geared more towards items for babies, children, and their caregivers.  The second item being reviewed is from the Home app which is aimed at, you guessed it, home items.  There is also the Geek app which carries more tech type items.  The thing is, both of the items in this review can also be found on the Wish app, as can most of the items on these other apps.  That's why I'm including them in a Wish Wednesday review.

As always, I am not associated with the Wish shopping app (or the Mama, Home, or Geek shopping apps).  I have not been compensated in any way for these reviews and all opinions are my own.

The first, and so far the only, purchase I've made through the Mama app is this pocket book / bag organizer.  It looked great in the listing, but for $2 and $1 shipping, I wasn't expecting much.  I expected the material to be very thin and the zippers to be very cheap.  I couldn't have been more wrong!  Not only is the material a decent thickness, but the organizer is also padded.

Sorry for all these pictures, but this wasn't the easiest item to photograph.  Hopefully you can see that there are both solid and mesh pockets on both sides, with one side having smaller mesh pockets than the other.

There is a large open area in the middle that is perfect for bigger items.  I usually keep my wallet, phone, and a water bottle in here.  The sides of the bag also zip open and closed to offer additional storage.  This is where I keep items I don't need as often, like Becca-Lynn's Epi Pen (for allergic reactions) or things I don't want out in the open.  There are also small handles on the inner sides of the organizer which make it easier to remove if you want to change to another pocket book or bag.

Last of all, the sides can be snapped closed to make the organizer more compact.  I usually have this thing packed out and haven't needed this, but the snaps seem of good quality.

I've been using this thing non-stop since it arrived about two or three weeks ago, and so far so good.  It is still holding up well with no signs of wear.  The only complaint I have is that it will kind of slouch to one side making it hard to see what is in the outside pockets, but this has not been a major issue since I have a good idea where I keep everything anyway.  Over all I would definitely recommend it.  And really, you can not beat the price!

The next item is this set of refrigerator shelf liners.  I bought these from the Home app.  They are $5 with $1 shipping.  I loved the colors and the idea of being able to pull these out to wash easily.  I expected to have to cut these down to fit my shelves as they didn't offer different sizes, but I was ok with that.  I was excited to get these and really expected to love them.

The thing is, I don't.  The colors are very true to what you see in the listing, and you get one of each color.  They look really cute in my refrigerator, but they do not do well at actually keeping the shelves clean.

The first issue was that, as I expected, they did not fit my shelves.  I had to cut them down to fit one way, but the other way they were too short.  Either way I turned them this was the case.  I had to piece them together in order to cover the entire shelf, and then when something spills it goes in between the two pieces.

Also, they do not lay flat.  This is something that gets better with use, but at first they slip around because of this and therefore leave portions of the shelf unprotected.

I haven't washed them yet, but the more I think about it the less I want to.  They may do well in the dishwasher, if you didn't have to piece them together like I did that is.  I would have to hand wash them so the small pieces don't fall in the bottom of the dishwasher.  I have some plastic cutting boards that are like this and they are annoying to wash because they flop around so much.  I would much rather wipe down the shelf itself and can usually do the job in a just a few minutes.

Here's my fridge with the liners.  I didn't even try to stage it for this photo, so please don't judge.  I'm keeping it real y'all!  I will say, all alcohol belongs to my other half.  I am not knocking back cold ones while pregnant, promise!

Fortunately I'm not out too much money on these.  They may work out great for some fridges, I just did not like them in mine.  There are other brands of refrigerator shelf liners on the market and I imagine you could use ordinary shelf liner too.  What I recommend is to measure your shelves before trying any liner, though.  I didn't read the description on these before buying them.  If I had, I would have known they wouldn't fit, so really it's nobody's fault but my own.  Hey, I can admit when I've made a mistake. :)

So, there's two more Wish items reviewed and I'll be back next week with more.  Let me know in the comments what items you've tried from Wish.  Also, I'm open to suggestions.  If there's an item you've been seeing on Wish, and you'd like me to review it, tell me in the comments.  I can't make any promises, but if it's not too pricey (and most things aren't) then I'll try it out and let you know what I find.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a great rest of the week and God bless!

Jenny
